William Klein (New York, 19th of April, 1928) is a photographer and filmmaker noted to for his ironic approach to both media and his extensive use of unusual photographic techniques in the context of photojournalism and fashion photography. He was ranked 25th on Professional Photographer's Top 100 Most influencial photographers(from Wikipedia).
As Christian Caujolle said yesterday Klein knew how to read the cities, from the neons to the people. He was very interested in typography and graphic design in general. So he usually combines this discipline with his pictures and his books. The result is a fantastic work that describes with a wonderful structure a particular way to see the cities or the fashion of his time.
